আচ্ছা সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় অনেক ছবি দেখে আপনি মনে করছেন আমি ঢাকায় অনেক মেয়েদের সাথে ঘুরাফেরা করি, তার উপর আবার ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং শেষ করলাম। জীবন উড়াধুরা ভাবে enjoy করতেছি, ফাটাইয়া ফেলতেছি। নিশ্চয়ই অনেক টাকা-পয়সা উড়াই তা না হলে এত সুন্দরী মেয়েরা কেন আমার সাথেই থাকতে চাবে। আমি অস্বীকার করিনা কখনো যে আমি টাকা-পয়সা উড়াই না। উড়াই কিন্তু মেয়েদের পিছনে না! মেয়েদের সাথে আমি খুব বেশি হলে চা-নাস্তা খাই একটু, যেটাকে আপনারা অনেকে প্রেম মনে করেন। কিন্তু আমি তো জানি এটা কী, ওই মেয়েগুলোও জানে! অন্যদিকে আমিও আমার অনেক বন্ধুদের দেখি যে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় ভালো জব করছে, অনেকে বিভিন্ন দেশে থেকে অনেক টাকা ইনকাম করে বিভিন্ন দেশে ঘুরাঘুরি করছে। আমার প্রায় রেগুলারই প্রবাসী বন্ধুদের সাথে কথা হয় যারা নিউইয়র্ক, মিউনিখ, রোম, লন্ডন, সিডনীর মত বিশ্বের সব উন্নত শহরগুলোতে থাকে এবং সিভিলাইজড মানুষদের সাথে চলাফেরা করে মাঠ-ঘাট কাপিয়ে ফেলতেছে। এসব দেখে আমারও মাঝে মাঝে মনে হয় যে কি করলাম জীবনে! এখনো বাংলাদেশের বাইরেই যেতে পারলাম না! আবার ওই ভালো জব করা বন্ধুটাই যখন আমার কাছে এসে বলে যে, 'বন্ধু অনেক বড় ভুল করতেছি জী...

I've had a tremendous problem with depression in my life. I didn't even want to wake up from sleep. Everyday waking up for me was a new challenge. I was also conscious of people seeing depression on my face. It was a lot of effort to show like everything was okay because it was not! I think 'To keep smiling or to keep giving positive energy to the people around me to overcompensate to show that everything was okay or that I was feeling okay' was extremely exhausting. God knows everything what I went through at that time. I'd rather not talk about it more, because I think it's over for me now. But, the fact 'Depression' is real and it is very dangerous. It can ruin everything mentally, physically & it's more than a disease. If you didn't go through it yet, then I must tell you that you're lucky enough. Be thankful to God.
